Global Compact Network Singapore (GCNS) successfully organised the 2018 Sustainable Solutions Expo (SSE) on 5 and 6 June 2018.
The purpose of the SSE, the first of its kind in Asia, was to provide a platform for showcasing innovative solutions which shape the sustainable development of the region. The larger vision is to facilitate the scaling of such solutions to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. In this regard, the SSE, provided a fresh lens in promoting sustainability through an inclusive and collaborative approach, bringing together investors and other relevant stakeholders through targeted pitching sessions, thematic tours and interactive plenary discussions.
There was a total of 43 Exhibitors at the SSE, centred around the three themes of Circular Economy, Connectivity and Food and Agriculture, and comprising 34 small and medium enterprises (SMEs), 8 large companies and 1 research institute. The full list of exhibitors can be found here.
To engage visitors and other stakeholders, the SSE included five plenary sessions, two fundraising pitching sessions and six guided tours. Over the two days, the SSE attracted around 1500 trade visitors, with nearly 400 attending the plenary sessions.
The SSE was held in collaboration with Temasek's Ecosperity and Stewardship Asia Centre. GCNS extends its sincere thanks to them, and all strategic partners, programme partners and supporting organisations for making the event the success that it was.
