On the afternoon of 11th May, Singapore Exchange (SGX) and Global Compact Network Singapore (GCNS) hosted a total of 13 experienced CSR and corporate sustainability advisory companies for a consultation session on how to facilitate companies in implementing the new SGX Sustainability Reporting (SR) requirements.
With the support of SGX, GCNS will be the go-to agency for companies, especially those who are on the SGX mainboard listing, who require assistance in complying with the mandatory SR requirements upon the announcement of the rules and guidelines later this year.
GCNS will be playing a pro-active role in reaching out to these companies through hosting a series of briefing sessions based on industry sectors over the next few months. These sessions will inform the companies of the new reporting rules and guidelines. Industry-based challenges and concerns will also be discussed and addressed during these sessions.
As an organisation that firmly believes in the spirit of collaboration and building partnerships through our network of partners, GCNS will be working together with a group of experienced CSR and corporate sustainability advisory companies to facilitate this process as a community.
The session concluded on a positive note with strong support from all of these companies. It was a productive session where our plans, feedback and ideas were shared.
Moving forward, GCNS will be working closely with SGX, enabling the community to facilitate the goal of assisting companies to prepare their sustainability reports. More details on the industry-based briefing sessions will be released shortly.
