In the countdown to the National Day celebrations in August, Young NTUC U Heart Start Up Fund is calling for applications for community projects with a National Day element. Companies who’d like to encourage volunteerism amongst their staff are encouraged to apply.
The target audience and areas identified for the programme are workers, low income families, children, seniors and workers with physical abilities and the environment. Examples of ideas for activities include: appreciation of workers, regular outings or National Day outings with children from low income families or children from children’s homes, outings with elders, activities at old folks' homes, beach clean up, cleaning of animal shelters and more.
All programmes must have a National Day element to it and must be organised in the months of July or August.
Key guidelines of the NTUC U Heart Start Up Fund:
1) Up to $1,000 per project, minimum 15 volunteers.
2) Volunteer projects must be supporting any of the identified 5 causes
3) To include a national day celebration element as part of the activity and to be organised in July or August
