Case Study: FoodXervices Inc

CSR1.001  The food service industry in Singapore is increasingly salient with rapid population growth experienced in recent years. Consumers are demanding better food choices and foodservice companies have to keep up with market trends to serve this need.

FoodXervices Inc is one such local foodservice distributor. From its origins as a provision wholesaler in 1937, the company has expanded over three generations to a thriving food service business that caters to a wide range of clientele. Siblings Nichol and Nicholas Ng who took over the family business in 2007 were key drivers of this transformation, enabling the business to develop further.

Together with the business sucession in 2007, FoodXervices Inc restructured the company to keep abreast of times. Even so, the company stayed rooted to its values: taking great care to put a thought in everything it does, from the way customers are served, to how team mates are treated and how business is conducted with partners.
