“Corporate social responsibility covers almost any
activity of a business. There is a good chance you may be doing
something already. Every business has an impact on society through what
it produces, how it employs and develops its people, and how it relates
to its environment and community at large. Companies that have the
support and respect of their stakeholders are more likely to work
better and be sustainable in the long run.

|
As a national CSR society, the Singapore Compact aims to encourage and
help companies to enhance their CSR programmes. We have received strong
support from over 100 members at the onset and successfully implemented
CSR workshops and training courses among other programmes, working
closely with several partners.
The CSR process is a journey. This website offers some
basic background, practical strategy and tools as a start, being part
of our information and advisory services. Through the ongoing research,
seminars and training programmes; survey and award ahead, we hope to
bring the CSR process to a higher level.
I would like to invite you to join us as member and
co-partner, to continue to journey with us. We look forward to your
active participation in bringing the initiative forward, and that more
like-minded stakeholders will show their support for the CSR movement
by joining the Singapore Compact.”
